Textures Are Now Brighter!

If you’ve played MiniaTuria Mod 1.12.2, you probably already know this—but MiniaTuria textures tend to be dark… So this time, I went all in and released MiniaTuria 1.12.2 [v8.2], with a brightness-up process applied to every single texture!

And this is the “after”. It’s a lot easier to see!

For players who couldn’t use shaders due to PC memory limits, there’s also a benefit: you can enjoy a more “shader-like” look even without shaders. Of course, color preferences vary from person to person… but in that sense, I felt this adjustment could be a real plus, so I went ahead with it.

This change was made as part of the process of porting the Java edition MiniaTuria series to Bedrock add-ons. The plan is to unify the entire MiniaTuria series with brighter textures. From here on, Java edition updates will also use these new textures as the standard.

If you had tuned your shaders to match the previous textures, this means you’ll need to adjust them again… I’m really sorry for the inconvenience 💦
